Winter is on the ropes

Overnight low -12C, daytime high of 5C.

Looks like the worst of the cold weather has passed!  That said, the flurries aren't over quite yet.  I still expect a few more potential weeks of snow in town - longer in the mountains.

Though we've only had a statistically average snow year, we are well above the previous couple of years' totals.  Last year remained cold well into April, so it seemed like a heavy snow year.  This year I expect an earlier start to spring thaw, which should mean less snow in town in April as compared to last year.  Time will tell.
