Fire update - July 18

Another big storm system swept through BC last night/early this morning.  The Okanagan got the worst of it, but the Central Cariboo and Jasper were also affected.  Not much information available yet on the new fires.

No smoke in town, nothing visible in the surrounding area.  Daytime temperatures remain in the mid to high 20s.

New fires include:
Elbow Lake - 1km N of Elbow. No information yet on size.

Lang Lake - 1.5km NW of Lang Lake. No information yet on size.

Many new fires in the Okanagan from just south of Kelowna to Penticton, and on both sides of Lake Okanagan.  The biggest fire reported on so far is Mount Conkle, just NW of Penticton at 50 hectares.
Edit: the biggest fire there is now Okanagan Mtn Park at 200ha.
