New Horizons

I'm kicking off 2015 with a new feature - a webcam!  A new image will be captured every 30 minutes during daylight hours, but only the latest will be displayed - check the right side of the page.  Right now it's running off of my laptop, so when the laptop is off, there won't be any updates.  That may change in the future.  It's also unlikely that I will have the camera on during the winter.  Again, that may change.

Lastly, I haven't decided if I'll continue with the daily updates, but I will at have a custom image and weather observations once in a while.

As for the weather this week, it's been glorious.  Highs between +15 to 20C with mostly clear skies, and lows around -3.  The ice covering the lake is now starting to melt away, with open water appearing on the west side.  It's also just started breaking up today.  Here's a picture from one of the last couple of days.
