Early Open

The run of great weather ended on the long weekend.  Ever since, it's been cool and wet.  Every day it threatens rain, but the clouds don't give it up easily.  We've had rain almost every day the past 10 days, but it rarely lasts more than 20 minutes.  Daily highs in the mid to high teens, nighly lows just above freezing.

The alpine is really starting to open up.  I've included two pictures today.  The first is from June 5 last year, the second is from May 25 of this year.  Both on about the first day the access road was passable.
